Highly concentrated "industrial strength" liquid textile softener which restores the soft feel (hand) that the chemical processes in dyeing sometimes remove. Also prevents needle cutting on cotton knits if you soften them before sewing. Much more concentrated than conventional fabric softeners. After dyeing, washing and rinsing, add 1/4 cup to a washing machine load, (or 1 teaspoon per gallon). Agitate 10 minutes in hottest water and rinse in warm water. Trust us, after using Milsoft, you are going to want to take this fabric to bed and curl up with it! Caution, never use a fabric softener on the fabric before it is dyed, as it leaves a residue that can cause the fabric to dye unevenly.

I use this regularly on all my laundry. If it arrives in a gloppy state I pour a little into a jar add water cover and shake. Then I add it to the filling washer. Blobs can remove color--but the UNSCENTED softness of the finished laundry is well worth a little extra care.

I dyed a few silk scarves without the milsoft and a then a batch with the milsoft. The difference was very notable and it was really easy to use.

I was worried it would not do much but perhaps because I sometimes use a higher concentration of dye or because we have hard water my clothing became noticeably softer after rinsing with this. I don't know if it is better than products from the grocery store but this does work and I will keep using it.

Most of what I sell are belly dance veils in silk. The way the silk feels after using Milsoft makes it so much more pleasant to handle and thus more easy to sell.

consistency so thick it's difficult to dissolve even in hot water. the jacquard textile softener was much better that way.

Winning! I use this after dying or washing in hot hot water. This makes the fabric like relax and drape nicely. I've used this on store bought clothes that shrunk in the wash and they fit again. Makes even the crunchy Menards t shirts feel soft. It doesn't seem to impart any kind of a smell to the fabric. used to be a fabric softener fanatic but now I use this as it makes my clothes soft I only have to use it once a month or less and it doesn't make my clothes hang onto grime Luke the store bought stuff.

The larger sizes must sit on the shelf too long as they are really gloppy and will not dissolve. Great stuff but you should only buy the 16oz size.

I bought this based on the reviews. The best word for this product is 'gross'. When I used a small amount it made my clothes gritty and rigid. When I used a little more it made my clothes STICKY and heavy. This smells like spoiled cheese and strangely makes it FEEL like I washed my clothes in spoiled cheese. Huge waste of money. Use 14 cup of vinegar instead.

This is an excellent fabric softener. I first used it after dying some cotton towels and was so impressed I began using it in everyday laundry.It works much better than the stuff you get in the laundry aisle and doesn't add additional perfumey smells.

Great stuff but - as it ages it becomes very thick & is NOT pourable. I take some out (a lump) & dissolve it in hot water to make it "melt". Still softens just the texture changes as it sits around awhile. I give it a 3 for that reason alone.

Fantastic product! I work with antique and vintage Japanese Kimono silk some of the silk is in very poor condition and brittle from age. Thanks to this softener I have been able to restore all of it to like new condition. The only thing that I would change is shipping this has been a major deterrent for me. The price of the softener is great but the shipping is double the price of the product.

I used this for the first time for a recent dyeing session and it does seem to soften the hand of the fabric somewhat. I'm not sure it is necessity though as the difference was minimal on mercerized cotton. It may make more of a difference with different fabrics. I will use it in the future to determine if it is worth the extra step and water.
