Corriedale is such a pleasure to work with, it has become commonplace in the hand spinning world. The breed was originally developed by crossing Merino and Lincoln with the result being a wool that has a good crimp and long fiber length. It's a medium-fine wool with a naturally springy texture that also lends itself well to felting and wet felting projects.
Top is the combed version and is great for items being worn next to the skin. For felting purposes, the Corriedale Sliver might be less initial work as the Corriedale Top has gone through one processing step farther by being combed, which homogenizes the directionality of the fibers and flattens much of the crimp.
