Monte Cristo is a plush, extremely soft cotton boucle´. If you look at it closely, it's constructed with a thick strand of unspun cotton fiber wrapped with a very thin binder thread. It feels like butter! Because there's almost no "bounce" to the yarn, the resultant fabric is very drapey and cuddly. It's perfect for weaving and crocheting sensual towels, baby blankets and scarves.

Love Monte Cristo.. Suggest soaking in water overnight before dyeing. Takes dye better when thorouly soaked.

I weave baby blankets with Monte Cristo for over 20 years. It's a favorite for my customers but the price sky-rocketed at my usual source. So happy to see it at Dharma at a better price. The quality is the same. Thank you.

Wonderful no-fuzz endlessly washable soft yarn. Can be spotty with dye over-dye and enjoy the color texture.
