This is a next to skin soft Corriedale cross wool. It's very soft takes dye very well and spins and felts beautifully.

I was a little worried about this "mystery wool" - I like to know what kind of sheep my handspun comes from. I am almost certain this is Merino. It drafts like it it feels like it. I bought 2 lbs and I will definitely be back for more!!! This stuff is GREAT!

This fleece is not only next-to-skin soft but it's very springy and has fantastic memory and decent staple length. I wouldn't necessarily recommend it for an absolute beginner because it can be a little tricky to draft and likes to stick together but I would and do recommend it to any other spinner. I love this stuff.

The first ball I got was fine. The second is mixed. A small amount of decent wool and the rest was quite coarse only suitable for rugs and wall hangings. I won't be getting it again. If I don't want to touch it to spin it I sure don't want to give it as a gift in the form of hats and scarfs. Disappointed.

Took dye very well seems to be pretty clean. I would not call it "next to skin soft" for people with sensitive skin but it softens up further after a vinegar eucalan soak. I had a very easy time drafting fine singles with it and I am not an experienced spinner. I will buy this again.

I was absolutely delighted with this roving. I hadn't expected much considering the very reasonable price but it was full and lush not to mention soft. I am SO going to buy more! )
