A strong singles yarn with extra twist in a lovely blend of two fine fibers. Socks, of course, but shawls, tees, baby sweaters, sweet winter caps in lovely pastels to set off your eyes or deep jewel tones to let the silk shine through. Dry under slight tension to help keep the yarn balanced for knitting and crochet.

This is WONDERFUL feeling yarn. It would make truly luxurious baby booties or a Wintertime camisole.On 1.75mm needles my gauge with a double strand was 8 stitches 9 rows per inch (which would be 32 stitches 36 rows for every 4").On comparison with my other 'fingering weight' yarns I would class this as 'lace' weight or maybe 'light fingering weight'.I'm happy with the product it just isn't bulky enough for the project I had in mind! Whoops... time to order more yarn!

Dyes beautifully with local plant stuffs. Silk gives it a certain luster. Twist is strong enough to use as warp. Good quantity to use in weaving projects.

Dyes well with acid dye some shimmer of silk. Minimal "kinks" since it is one-ply.

This yarn feels like the ultimate luxury - soft squishy and with a beautiful sheen! I've done several full-immersion kettle dyes with Dharma acid dye and with the slight difference in how it strikes each fiber it came out with some gorgeous tonal variations.

This yarn is total lux! It can be a little tricksy to dye because (I think) the silk is exhausting at a different rate than the wool so timing is very important. I can be both impatient and forgetful and have gotten dramatic differences between too long and too soon. All of them are beautiful but I have a harder time reproducing results with this yarn specifically. Oh no looks like I'm going to have to keep all of it for myself then since I'm not consistent enough to sell
