I have mixed feelings about this thread. Happy I found white all cotton thread but not so happy that it hasn't proven great for hand sewing. The thread shreds at the eye before I'm finished with a 2ft piece. I have all cotton thread (in colors) that is over 40yrs old that holds up much better to hand sewing.

this thread is great i just finished up a spool on one project . beaded knife case all hand sewn glad i bought a couple spools no breaking no (unwanted ) knotting good price also.lady with shreading thread at needle-eye needs nicer needles this thread rocks

100% cotton thread for hand basting tacking mending and other hand sewing tasks ROCKS. It won't twirl up knot on itself like poly thread does... that drives me nuts! I'm so glad Dharma still carries this.

This is wonderful thread and it does take the dye perfectly. I have one huge issue although it's mercerized the thread shrunk in the wash so everything I carefully stitched gathered in the wash. I would only hand wash in cold to avoid any shrinkage. I am giving it a 3 rating due to the shrinkage

I use the thread for Shibori-the stitching actually will dye a shade lighter than the material so it stands out a bit so I can see the threads I am about to pull out.
