Although I spin & dye my own fiber I also love dreads and what better way to create your own personal style by making your own dreads. This is my 2nd purchase of Tsunami Yarn that I am using to make dreads. The texture is both thick & thin which I think makes them look more natural and because it is slightly felted it takes a lot less work to make the dreads. The best wool I've found to make dreads and the best buy for your buck. I am going to post on some of the dread groups I belong to on Facebook. I think people will love it!

This is so coarse it can never be used clothing yarn. Also as a spinner I am really disappointed by the thin portions that are incredibly over spun.

I use this thick & thin yarn for my quilt surface design weaving and hand work. It takes dye so perfectly! I bought two more.

Unfortunately didn't take color very well. I used it with various natural dyes (I'm a professional natural dyer) and despite proper mordanting hour+ cooks and leaving the wool in the dye pots overnight the colors came out pale and looking like they have a milky white filter over them.
