If you want big muslin, this is it. 10 foot wide scenery muslin for backdrops, display areas, etc. Heavy weight. Please note; MUS10 does not come on a bolt, but rather in a box. This makes good sense, as a 10 foot long bolt would be awful hard to move around.
Fabric Details
- 100% cotton
- 5 oz per square yard, 120" wide
- Thread count is 68 threads per inch x 72 threads per inch
- You can dye this with our Fiber Reactive Dyes
- We found that this shrinks 7% in Length and 8% in Width disclaimer
- Suggested usage; backdrops, displays, quilts etc.
- Fabric has a slight open weave
- Available in cut yardage (bulk discounts levels at 10+ yds.) and in 33 yard bolts
- Machine wash in any temperature water
- This fabric is PFD
Remember, bolts vary! They can be over or under - we charge you for the actual yardage. If you need very specific yardage, order cut yardage.

I used this to dye with the Procion Dyes. Looked very nice for my project. I did not have that much shrinkage like the other person did.

Significant shrinking if washed. Make sure to prewash if at all. Easy to work with sewing machine had no problem with it.

Excellent quality for a fantastic price. I purchased this as a backing for "drop cloth" curtains to serve as blackout. I just wanted an extra layer without the bulk of blackout fabric. It works great for that easy to work with and good drapehand. I plan to buy more to create an curtain for my guest room to hang over blinds. Thanks DT for top quality goods AND service.

This fabric is not great for dyeing when I got it It had a strange feel to it as if it was treated with something so I ran it under water to test its absorbency. The water beaded up off it like canvas I got it specifically for a large size quilt backing and needed the 120" or I would have ordered muslin. Needless to say I scoured it twice in a heavy duty wash before proceeding to dye it. I got it to dye but I am a very good dyer with a lot of experience and have experience with dyeing heavy duty canvas. I do not recommend this fabric for any kind of dying project! It continued to have absorbency issues through the whole process. I order a lot of cloth from Dharma this is the only cloth I have ever had trouble with dyeing

I'm using this as a sofa cover in a furnished sublet. It gives the room a nice tropical look and it's easy to clean up hairballs and such messes. In the fall I'll have my own apartment and furniture and will use the muslin for curtains. I'm not sure if I'll dye it or keep the natural color.

It was exactly what I wanted. Now I need a way to treat it with wax or oil (it will be a tipi) so it can withstand the weather.
