- 100% Habotai Silk
- 16mm, 45" wide
- You can dye this with Acid Dyes
- We found that this shrinks 10% in Length and 2% in Width disclaimer
- Available in cut yardage and in 50 yard bolts
- Machine wash in any temperature water
Remember, bolts vary! They can be over or under - we charge you for the actual yardage. If you need very specific yardage, order cut yardage.

Definitely a heavier silk and a stiffer feel if you don't wash or dye it. Beautiful though--perfect for structured dresses.

When this first came I thought it was horrible. But after washing and dyeing and washing and dyeing some more it has the lovely feel of something you would want to wear. Nice surprise.

Love this silk. I can't seem to get along without it anymore. I am back for a second BOLT. 1896 Victorian underthings Blouses PJs I am starting to feel very spoiled indeed!

I bought it to create a tailored suit ensemble in a gorgeous color-it dyes divinely I used Dharma acid deye. It dyed completely evenly. Once washed and dyed it has a softer hand and was not easy to tailor as a shantung or raw silk All that said- the finished garment is stunning it frays does not heal easily from pin marks- so I basted alot I used silk organdy dyed to match as the inner support. It could be washed but I send it to the cleaners and it has not bled one bit nor faded! Dhrama thank you!

This silk is smooth with a soft sheen. Wonderful for painting dyeing and heavy enough to easily sew. Great for clothing and art!
