This 75% Viscose Rayon / 25% Silk blend fabric is delicious. Not in the actual taste sense, but in the more figurative one, if you catch my drift. With a weight equivalent to 18mm, this fabric has a nice luxurious feel and a beautiful rayon drape. Although the fabric is semi-sheer when white, when dyed it is mostly opaque. Get a sample, check it out, use it for interesting things, let us know how much you love it!
Fabric Details
• 75% Viscose Rayon / 25% Silk,
• 6.9 oz. per sq. yard, 58" wide
• 18mm Approx
• You can dye this with Our Fiber Reactive Dyes
• Suggested usage; Pants,skirts, blouses, shirts, home decor etc..
• We found that this shrinks 14% in Length and 2% in Width disclaimer
• Available in cut yardage ( bulk discounts levels at 10+ yds.) and in 53 yard bolts
• Machine wash in any temperature water, but as with all Rayons and Rayon blends, use a GENTLE cycle!!!
Remember, bolts vary! They can be over or under - we charge you for the actual yardage. If you need very specific yardage, order cut yardage.

Love this fabric! I want to correct an earlier review. The heavier threads run perpendicular not parallel to the selvedge. To get the best drape you would lay out your pattern across the width of the fabric not the length.

Love this fabric! Think of it as a rayonsilk georgette. It has a very slightly slubby texture when washed with slightly thicker threads running parallel to the selvedge. The color is a soft ivory with no yellow tinge. It's very fluid after washing but be sure to cut your project with the grain in mind so the thicker threads run vertically.

This is a really wonderful fabric! It shrunk 3" in width. Does not take acid dye well as stated. I dyed this with some charmeuse and habotai a leaf green and the contrast of textures are just beautiful. It has a bit of what looks like veining as some yarns took the dye differently but the effect is very nice! I am using it for a priests vestment for a newly ordained priest in a hot climate and the drape is as stated very very lovely. Would love to make this in all of the liturgical colors!

Lovely fabric but much more sheer than I expected. Dyed in pale shades it's almost as sheer as organza. Drapes beautifully.

Great fabric ! I was concerned because of the high rayon content so ran a tacking stitch along the cut ends and used a poly netbag to Idye in my washing machine. Came out well with excellent colour coverage it was then hand painted with Dye na flow and stencilled and stamped using Lumiere and DecoFabric markers above . The result - wonderful !

This is very much like a silk double georgette in its hand. As mentioned in other reviews it has a slightly nubby heavier thread that runs along the weft although after washing the fabric has a much softer drape. I think using it on the grain is just fine. I bought this originally to use as a lining and while I think it will work just fine for that (it is though translucent so use French seams) its nice enough to use as the fashion fabric.

Really quite sheer. I trusted the 18mm estimate but it's not suitable for linings as I'd hoped. More like a voile and would be good for light chemises.

I love this fabric! I'm using it for my Rey cosplay (for her body dress wrap). After dying it the fabric was the correct texture and wasn't too sheer for this particular project. The drape of this fabric is absolutely beautiful it flows so nicely! The raw edges of this fabric do fray quite a bit but that can be expected of raw edges. Overall great product!
